Her right eye is missing, a bloody eye socket with a glowing yellow aura instead. "When I finally escaped..." Hippolyta says.

Panel 2: A borderless panel, with no image- only a small text caption to continue Hippolyta's thought. "...I escaped alone."

Panel 3: In the present, Hippolyta is crying and her eye is unfocused. She whispers, "I'm so sorry, I tried to go back but..." From off panel, someone shouts, "MOM!!!"
